Valle Secreto

Founded in 2007, Valle Secreto crafts superior quality wine from the unique Cachapoal Valley. This secret valley is home to the estate of Valle Secreto, built on the property of a 19th century church. Here, winemaker Alejandra Vallejo produces wines that reflect their terroir, with pure fruit characteristics and balanced acidity.

There are three series of wines by Valle Secreto: First Edition, Private Edition, and Key.

2011 "First Edition" Cabernet Sauvignon, Cachapoal Valley - 21.99

Grown from 9 year old estate vines, this wine shows cherry red, vibrant colors. Aromas of black plums, blackberries and blueberries. Fruit is nicely integrated behind the oak, with dehydrated black plum, dried figs and cassis jam with an attractive with long finish. This wine is aged in two and three year old French oak barrels for 12 months.

2011 "First Edition" Syrah, Cachapoal Valley - 21.99

This wine is intense with deep violet, chewy texture and richness. A nose of spicy fruit, meaty aromas and ripe red fruit move to a fleshy and balanced mouth-feel with velvety tannins and a long lasting finish. This wine is barrel aged in two and three year old French oak for 12 months.

A complex nose with hints of blackberry and black mature fruit preempt clove and pepper on the palate. This wine has a smooth finish with balanced tannins. Subtle oak characteristics shine through from the 12 months this wine spends in barrel.
